Fished with Steve Kuieck of Riverquest Charters in search of Skamania, the summer run steelhead unique to only a few rivers. Love Creek empties into the Saint Joseph River just above the dam in Berrien Springs. Fishing was slow owing to the unseasonably warm weather, although there were plenty of fishing rolling on the surface and holding in the creek. We did manage to land one of these remarkable creatures. The fish is an anomaly if for no other reason than its propensity to run up rivers at water temperatures normally avoided by trout.

#24 Love Creek, Michigan
